Arsenic and Old Lace - Opens Friday,
September 26
The classic comedy Arsenic and Old Lace will be presented at
Lakeland Theatre Company, opening on September 26th. Director Bill O’Neill has
put together a stellar cast and invites you to enjoy the fun on stage!
Arsenic and Old Lace will run through October 11. This presentation is
generously sponsored by
The Farrington Foundation.
The play is the hilarious story of two charming old sisters who populate
their cellar with the remains of socially acceptable boarders. With a brother
who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt and another brother who defies description,
the show is always a true comedy hit.
Dinner is available on Opening Night, Friday, September 26 and also on
Friday, October 10, prepared and served by Bill Hand and Wally Hurst. Dinner
is $17.00 per person and includes iced tea, coffee and tips. The show runs on
Friday and Saturday evenings, September 26, 27, October 3, 4, 10 and 11, and
begin at 8:00 PM. Sunday matinees are scheduled for September 28 and October
5, and the show begins at 2:30 PM. Reservations are required for opening night
dinner and strongly recommended for all performances.
Tickets for all performances are only $15.00 for adults and $8.00 for
children and students. Evening performances will begin at 8:00 PM and Sunday
matinee performances begin at 2:30 PM. A special “Family” Night will happen on
Saturday night, October 4, with a “pizza buffet” available for only $5.00 each
--and children get in to see the show for $5.00 each with a paying adult.
Reservations are recommended for the best seats.

Fiddler on the Roof - Opens Friday, November
7
The
November presentation of the classic musical Fiddler On The Roof will
begin on November 7 and will run through November 22. This beloved classic of
Tevye and his daughters has captivated audiences for over 40 years.
Larry Williams returns as Tevye, and director Doug Wright helms a cast that
is talented and enthusiastic as they present a new production of one of the
most popular shows ever here at Lakeland. Come join the fun and the drama –
and the unforgettable music – as Tevye and his village are taken into the
uncertainty of the ever-changing world. With music direction and accompaniment
by Dwight Berry, this will be a show you’ll love for the first time –or you
can fall in love all over again as so many of our audience members have done
over the years.
Shows are scheduled for Friday and Saturday evenings, November 7, 8, 14,
15, 21, and 22, and we have a Sunday matinee scheduled for November 16.
Opening Night dinner is available on November 7, and if you have a group of 25
or more, you may be able to schedule a dinner for another performance as well!
Peter Pan - Opens Thursday, December 4

The holiday presentation of the beloved musical Peter Pan begins on
December 4th and will run through December 13th. This classic show, about the
“boy who wouldn’t grow up” has been a huge audience favorite at Lakeland, and
a whole new generation is ready to take flight! Director Wally Hurst,
choreographer Maria Hurst, and music director Laurel Griffith have put
together a great cast and crew to entertain and amaze you as you re-live the
magic and music of this great story! Flying will be provided by ZFX Flying,
who flew Cathy Rigby on Broadway.
Shows are scheduled for Friday and Saturday evenings, December 5, 6, and
12, and 13, and we have two Sunday matinees scheduled for December 7 and 14 –
and a new Saturday matinee on December 13 as well! School Day Matinees will be
held on December 4 and 11, so call for times. Opening Night dinner is
available on December 5, and if you have a group of 25 or more, you may be
able to schedule a dinner for another performance as well!
Lakeland Singers - Saturday, December 20 only
The
Lakeland Singers, under the direction of Wrenn Phillips, will present their
Annual Evening Christmas Concert on Saturday, December 20 at the Lakeland
Theatre Company in Littleton. This polished vocal group will present many
favorites for your holiday listening pleasure.
Accompanied by Judith Harris and a 13-piece orchestra, the Lakeland Singers
will blend traditional holiday music with great new Christmas music, bringing
a smile to your face and joy in the season that we are getting ready to
celebrate! Please join us as we welcome the Christmas season with song! This
is the final presentation of Lakeland’s 2008 season, and we would like to
thank all of our patrons for their participation in one of our best years
ever!
Tickets for the performance are only $15.00 for adults and $8.00 for
children and students. The concert will begin at 8:00 PM. Reservations are
recommended for the concert to assure the best seats for the show.
